Approached
by a driveway lined with 80 Lime trees the main house sits in a large
walled garden. The house has been renovated to a very high standard and
retains many of it's original features. When the house is booked as a
whole, the accommodation is as follows.
The
large sitting/dining room with it's two marble fireplaces, one for the
'ladies' and one for the 'gentlemen' is a chic and relaxing place to
dine and spend time with friends and family. There is also a television
lounge with satellite tv, games and books.
The
large sunny kitchen/breakfast room has a well equipped
kitchen with range cooker, American fridge/freezer,
dishwasher and many more gadgets.
We provide a welcome hamper, all linen
and cleaning products. There is a washing
machine in the house and dryer on
request.
The
beautiful Elm staircase leads to a large open landing with access to
four of the en suite bedrooms. There is a double and a twin to the left,
both beautifully decorated and retaining the original beams, oak floors
and fireplaces. To the right, a double and twin room, interconnected by a
large en suite shower room offer ideal accommodation for a family.
The
top floor has a further four rooms amongst the huge attic beams. The
ceilings are very high and the window seats offer a chance to sit and
gaze at the panoramic views of the garden and to the valley beyond.
This
room and the one pictured below show another 'Family Suite' with
king sized bed in the parents room and twin beds and daybed in the
children's accommodation. A walk through closet with family bathroom
off it completes this very spacious suite. We have a cot bed and other
baby equipment and can organize babysitting on request.
A
double and a twin room both with en suite shower rooms are
the final two rooms on the top floor and once more have high ceilings,
beams and antique furniture dressed with cushions and throws. These
rooms are large enough to comfortably accommodate another bed if
desired.
